We offer quality AKC registered  and soon  ABCA registered border collie puppies. While we're one of many Texas border collie breeders, we try to excel in raising happy, healthy border collie pups and offer them to herding, show, performance, obedience or approved active companion homes. Our border collies have plenty of drive and ability. We don't believe this should be bred out or they wouldn't be a border collie! The border collie is a very active breed so, please be sure the border collie breed is the right one for your family.

We want to help people learn about the border collie breed and understand why this breed isn't for everyone, but those persons that are up to the task of a dealing with the smartest dog breed. Yes, the border collie is the smartest dog breed, that has been proven. Many people think that because the border collie is so smart they some how figure how to be trained on their own. Well, the opposite is the truth. With intelligence can come so many things most people don't plan on. A border collie that hasn't had limits and normal obedience training, something I like to refer to as 'manners', can be an unruly mess.  That is why so many end up being re homed, taken to the pound or worse yet, dropped out on a road to fend for itself. This breed needs a good sized yard with a least a 6 foot fence.

The border collie will be a very social, sensitive, wonderful dog with proper understanding and I stress, proper training. A word of caution at this point, if you view dog ownership as having a dog that lives its life in the backyard with nothing to do, but wait until the back door opens in hopes of getting a meal thrown at it once a day, DON'T get a border collie! If you want a border collie to be part of your family and want a dog that is willing to please, has good energy for playing ball, frisbee, going jogging with you, or if you spend a good amount of time outside, then yes, this breed may very well be a great choice for you.  A border collie left to become frustrated from lack of human companionship, lack of physical and or mental simulation can end up being the dog nobody wants! In most cases, it was human error and not the dogs fault things didn't work out.  Please be prepared to go to obedience class with you pup to ensure a mannerly, well socialized pup and let your border collie meet many new people so it will become a friendly dog . Some border collies can be reserved with strangers. So it is important to be sure to let your border collie puppy inter act with lots of new people and other new animals when young. Patient, firm direction and consistent training before 6 months of age is the best time to instill manners in your border collie pup for the best results. Border Collies can be a handful as a puppy and need good training direction in order mature to a well mannered adult. Whatever you don't want your adult Border Collie do as a adult, don't let it do it as a puppy.

  Our border collie puppies have achieved titles in conformation, obedience, agility and  flyball, as well as being used for therapy dogs.  The photos shown below are just a few of our border collie puppies that have grown up to be shown and or titled. There are many more not listed.  We're very proud of their accomplishments and hard work!  If you have gotten one of our border collie pups and have begun competing or achieved titles , please let us know! We want to give credit where credit is due!

Visions Border Collies puppies are raised in our home under watchful eyes, plus being temperament evaluated. We're committed to quality & constantly research to learn more about the border collie breed. We believe hip x rays, OFA & the newest DNA border collie health testing are very important & are currently working on getting that  testing completed in all of our border collies. We offer a guarantee on our border collie puppies, but also test the parents or have the needed info so we have important health knowledge about our border collies that we breed.  We normally require pet puppies to be desexed by 6 months of age for best results.  Especially males so they don't ' mark their territory ', even though females can and do mark too. Most people don't realize this fact. 

 The thing not to say to me is, " I want to breed my pet dog so I can recoup my purchase price ".

We're located in North Texas on beautiful Bridgeport Lake.

We don't breed specifically for color, but consider first the health, temperament , structure & ability.  But our border collie lines include many different coat colors & patterns. We're experienced with many coat colors such as chocolate/brown, know also as red, solid blue, gold or ee red, tri color & coat patterns such as merle, sable & saddle. We, of course, still offer the traditional black with white markings. Over the years we've acquired much coat color & pattern information that we put up on the internet to help others learn more about how varied the border collie breed is in appearance.
